Kasmet Niyongabo spent the first decade of his career in heavy industry — underground and open-pit mining and renewable energy, across the full arc of operations. He then joined McKinsey & Company, where he spent five years advising on strategy and large-scale transformations across heavy industry, energy, and decarbonization.
He founded Niyongabo Consulting because he saw a gap. The consultants who understood strategy had never run an industrial operation. The operators who understood how heavy industry runs had never built a top-tier strategy from scratch. His clients needed both — and now they have it.
He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from Queen's University, a MASc in Mechanical Engineering from UOIT, and an MBA from Queen's University.
